People in Business

The People in Business team at Robson McLean offer advice to businessmen and women both in their business and in personal affairs. The team works particularly in the areas of giving advice to small and medium enterprises with a strong focus on family businesses and owner managed businesses.

Our Clients
The team presently advises a wide range of clients including clients with portfolios of investment retail properties, hoteliers and restaurateurs, medical and other professional practices, property companies, IT and software companies, retailers and tradesmen and farms.

The personal approach
Giving good business advice involves knowing the people who run their business on a personal level so that advice on business structures and finances can be tailored to suit the individual circumstances of the businessman and his family. The team will want to get to know as much about the business client as possible. Our aim is to provide good and proactive advice in all these areas so that the business can operate efficiently and profitably.

Office and external support
In addition to the areas of expertise within the team we are able to call in specialists. We have excellent contacts in litigation matters, corporate law, commercial contracts, intellectual property, environmental law and other areas which are likely to impact on the small businessman or woman. The team also has extremely good contacts with bankers, accountants, surveyors and other outside experts who can be called in and be relied upon to give good integrated advice targeted at the business client.

Business Property
The team will deal in particular with the sale and purchase of commercial properties, the leasing of property, attending both to the landlord's and the tenant's interest and the creation of securities for lenders.
